Ohr Halacha, started as a Semicha Program (Rabbinical Training), with the mission to prepare young Sephardic Rabbis through intense study and an assortment of instructional methods, to guide and lead Sephardic communities of the next generation.
Beginning with a core nucleus of twelve hand picked outstanding young scholars we have embarked on an intensive five year program to cover halachot relevant to daily personal and business life, as well as counseling skills, oral and written communication skills, homiletics [public speaking] and other soft skills necessary for today's rabbinate. We continue to expand both our founding mission of training the leaders of tomorrow and look to the future of publishing in a digital, kosher, way.
The needs of the Community on the Jersey Shore have become more broad and vast and the mission statement of Ohr Halacha continues to be;
